Becky Bolton, Pottery

The pieces pictured above represent my paper-relief/airbrushed porcelain slip design technique and have my triple-layered, cobalt variations, blue glaze. Both are wheel-thrown pieces and are kiln fired – Oxidation/Cone 6.

This is my 40th year to exhibit my clay art professionally. I became an adjunct professor at the University of Montevallo in the Fall 2015 semester – teaching Introductory Ceramics ART 224.

Larisa Brechun Quesenberry & Mary Ann Brechun, Painters

Our styles are quite different so our art ranges from realism to abstract so we like to think we offer something for everyone!

Larisa enjoys painting with oils. While she specializes in painting portraits and the human form, she also enjoys other more light-hearted subjects, such as pets and birds.

Mary Ann also paints with oils but also enjoys watercolor and acrylic. While she enjoys the occasional still life and abstract, her favorite subjects are landscapes which are painted in an impressionistic to abstract manner.

My passport says Arthur Leon Oglesby , but everyone calls me Butch.

It seems that I’ve always had a camera in my hands. When I was a child in south Alabama my mother let me use the family’s Brownie Hawkeye to make photos of my friends, family, nature and sometimes my toys.

It was something I never outgrew. Today, after living in several states in the United States and spending nearly a decade in Europe I own BlueMoon Studios located in the Bluff Park area of Hoover, Alabama.

As you can tell, photography is more than a job for me, it is who I am. I love making great, and sometimes fun, images. And I hope that you will trust me to create something great for you.

Please visit Butch’s website at www.boglesby.com for more information.
